Holy crap, for the last time - I'm posting a link to the players' own statements which describe their own frustration with themselves (which happens to be identical to many of the fans' frustration).

1980 - To whom are you referring? Its good the players are getting frustrated with themselves, because if they know what they need to do they will do whatever it takes to get it right.

Rut, I'm not worried about the division at all. Ottawa would have to win out for 99 pts, and then Buffalo would have to earn only 3 pts out of their last ten. I just want them to be playing good disciplined hockey going into the playoffs.

Completely agree, I dont want to see them go into the playoffs and flop. That would suck I would love to see a cup soon. Before I die at least one buffalo sports team needs to win a championship, and the Bandits dont count. But I feel like in the next few years the Sabres can win it. They just need to be more disciplined like you said. Players like Roy and Vanek should be more disciplined year round and they would be more resourceful during the actual season, this team would be a lot better than what it is now.

It's amazing how some of these TV commentators are ignorant of basic info when discussing, well, HOCKEY.
I just heard some guy on MSG say that the Sabres don't wanna finish in 4th place because they'd have to play #5 Ottawa.

Granted, not everybody knows the divisions around the league....but if I was a guy COMMENTING ON TV, I'd damn well know the divisions and realize Buffalo and Ottawa cannot both finish out of the top 3. It's not like there are 100 teams to memorize.
