I'm looking forward to Saturdays game versus the Penguins! BETTER WIN!

Going to be a tough one. Pittsburgh is on an 11 game win streak so hopefully the Sabres can be the ones to end it. Main goal: SHUT DOWN CROSBY. (impossible task but we can dream)

Not only that but Crosby himself is on a 17 game point streak at the moment I believe.

35 pts in 17 games. Anyone still think OV is better? :D

I honestly still think OV is better all around then Crosby still. This year Crosby has been amazing, not gonna fault him for anything. OV has started passing the puck more also, and will end the year over 100 points easily still.

Crosby can't possibly keep up this pace throughout the rest of the year anyways. Still glad I have him on my fantasy team but on Saturday, for the Sabres sake, I hope he doesn't score anything. And if he does, I hope it's a goal or a point that doesn't mean anything.

The first half of the game, they did play well. The 2nd half? Not so much. SJ outscored them 3-1 before the Sharks had to pull the G. The empty netter & final goal were not hard-fought.

The 2 points were critical, but I didn't see this as a test at all, given the fact that the Sharks were pretty clearly tired and slow. It seems that the last few seasons the Sabres caught them at the end of a road trip. That's a pattern worth keeping.

dude not to be a jerk but QUIT BITCHING, we played well, lay off them, theyre worlds better now than they were at seasons beginning, rivet being out is making a huge difference, veteran, schmeteran, our young d is gelling nicely!...go sabres!

when san jose scored the 1:3 about 5 min left in the 2nd, I thought wtf.

Typical.

When the Sabres lose, we hear how they're no good.

When the Sabres win, it's only because they got lucky, or the opponent had an off night, or they're on the end of a road trip and just tired.

Do you EVER give this team any credit at all? As Phil pointed out elsewhere, they're 9-4-2 since Nov 6th. The test? Did they win, or not?

(This is where you respond to say that you're not being critical, you're just telling it like it is. )

One thing is for certain, nobody wants to be the best more than Crosby. He will never stop working towards improving his game, ever.

Everyone hates OV for other reasons. Yes, Crosby is having an explosive year (JUST ASK MAH FANTASY BITCH), but OV has beat him plenty of times. OV has proved to be a dirty bastard who is kind of a trouble maker (I.E driving an equipment cart around the stadium, icing a kid, and talking about pretty girls and how he likes them on the jumbotron). So that kind of gives Sid the nod.

Crosby is a dirty bastard too, unless you consider slew foots and shots to the pills from behind clean play.

I remember when Crosby started teeing off on the one guy while his partner held him down. All around dick move.

I hate about Crosby that he is one of those bastards who cowardly try to punch you while you're engaged with his bigger teammate. Against Toronto Rosehall (or whatever his name was) almost hit him, Crosby got bitchy about it and Goddard and another Penguin went after him. When Rosehall was pinned against the boards by two Penguins Crosby tried to go after Rosehall.

That's just being a coward and classless behaviour. Either do it yourself or stay out of there. Don't try to sneak in a punch while your friends are fighting the guy.

Crosby is a great player but I like OV better because he doesn't do that (He's still a douche though)

OV is just hilarious though. The shit he does is amazing. He's a very nice guy off the ice. There's a video on youtube of him playing little kids at the Wii.

The Russian women practically put the camera in his face after he lost in the Olympics. He didn't even push her, he grabbed the camera and yanked it down so she couldn't film him. If you're a dick to him then he'll be a dick back.

As for the snowing of the kid, that was a dick move. But snow goes everywhere happen when you try to stop on skates so...

Not to mention they're 3-0-1 in December so far. This team is playing well and it's showing. There are no two ways about it. All 6 goals came last night because of hard work or a smart play. Saying anything to the contrary is simply foolish.

You have my sincerest apologies.

I forgot that only ONE type of opinion is allowed here and any descenting or critical opinion is not welcomed and the critic will be berated.

It would be a big help if you would change the rules to state that.

The rule would read:
"If the Sabres WIN, then all is great in paradise, as the cup will shortly be theirs. After a win, you're only allowed to blow smoke up their asses".

Okay?

Speaking of TYPICAL:
Please STOP trying to manage opinions. And DO note that I for one, DO NOT shit on them in GDT's when they fuck up OR rip them a new asshole after a game they lose. I state critiques without hyperbole. Keep that in mind next time. And do I eveer give them credit? Well, READ the post again. Notice where I said they played well in the first half of the game and got a critical 2 points. In this or another thread I mentioned how great Ennis is/will be. Sorry, not gushy enough?

Or would you prefer I be like many others and shit all over them when they're screwing up and blow smoke up their butts(no matter what) when they win?

Is that really what you wnat me to do?

I really liked Sekera in the past 2 games. Smarter passes and much better playing the man instead of the puck. He's broken up a lot of plays. This needs to continue.
