These are professional athletes. 'Tired' is a weak excuse and you can believe that San Jose isn't crying about the loss because they were 'tired.' The Sabres did what Philly couldn't and closed out the game.

Squanto simply made an observation of a trend. He's not playing opinion police. I agree with that observation in term of many Sabres fans, or for that matter hockey fans at large. Seems you have two types of fans typically.

Fan A (Bipolar Joe): Team Wins: Roll Jefferson's theme song....'movin' on up....to the east side.....' Stanley Cup is as good as ours. Best team in franchise history!!!
Team Loses: When the team loses it is the end of the world, Chicken Little comes running across the screen and they roar for "heads to roll" and "people be held accountable". Worst team in franchise history!!!!

Fan B (Head Case Jake): Team Wins: Team was lucky and won despite playing like garbage. Playing like this will not get them into the playoffs because even though they squeeked out a win, they are actually losers at heart.
Team Loses: The opponent was lucky. We played our hearts out and lost due to odd bounces, and bad refs. Despite the loss, playing like this shows that they are a Cup contender and winners at heart.

PP should have kept his mouth shut, he never learned how to take criticism of what he posts. I agree it's just what Squanto had said.

The team held on to a win which they could have blown just like Philly, they did not and scored 6 goals in a win against a Western Conference team that still showed they weren't as tired as they should have been. We outplayed them for long stretches of that game, but you can't control a game at all times. Momentum shifts even if you blow someone out 10-2 where you aren't playing your best. And the Sabres crunched down at the end to earn an EN goal and score another goal before time expired.
