Last time I was in Buffalo I got a used hockey bag from one of the players (which is, of course, strictly against the rules). it was soooo cool I didn't even realize the stench at first. only when the room-maid tried to take it away for washing I realized how bad it smelled ;)

at least the customs didn't touch it when I drove from buffalo to toronto to get my flight back home, because it was filled with so much merchandise I would have had to pay a ridiculous amount of customs duty. anyway, I had to put it in the laundry at home because it smelled so bad not even the cats would go near it.

it sucks for goalies. one, you cant slide across the crease. on a breakaway, i skate backwards, go down into a butterfly, then slide backwards and make my move with my pad, glove to the post. in inline, i forgot that, so id go down and just stop. it was all... oh yeah. no ice.

another thing that sucks is the puck is lighter and rounded. so add about 10 to 15 mph onto slap shots. they get in on you in a hurry.

the legendary shirt prior to an inline game in 2006.

"1999 hot shots champs"

i was proud of that shirt. i won that shirt by shooting better then 120 students. :(

I never did like the look of Eagle pads. They look.....goober. Nonetheless you have a cool colour combination.

they dont make em anymore, sadly. all my equipment is white/red/silver, except my trapper, which is white with a small amount of red.

my mask is old vancouver colours (potvin style) but im gonna have it painted off white with white trim and white accents. my last name will be done in red on the chin, and the state of michigan outline done in red on the left side. with TD initials done in red on the right side. simple.

also, i highly recommend GRAF skates. i have a pair of goaler pros.

There is one guy on our team that wears Graf skates as a skater. I'm not sure what out goalie wears though.

Graf skates are really nice, but I prefer my Bauers. I like the pitch of the blade better. Plus, the boots of my Supreme 70's are awesome.

I think our goalie has Bauer goal skates.

I have Bauer Vapor X:20 skates. I wouldn't mind either the X:40s or the Supreme skates, but I don
t have the money to drop over $400 bucks on a really good skate, my $200 skates work just fine, super light, fit good, and work and protect my feet.

Slightly off-topic here:

Did you guys know that RIT has the Golisano College of Computer and Information Science? (aka GCCIS, pronounced like Jesus)?

Anyway, there was an open house today and there was a tour going through the GCCIS building when I was leaving my computer science class. There's a big picture of Tom on the wall and the tour guide points him out, and is like, "You might also know him as the owner of the Buffalo Sabres." and I'm like "NOT FOR TOO MUCH LONGER!!" But not that loud because I didn't want to be that guy. But I actually said it, and not just thought it.

I don't care very much for 'good' goalie skates. I just use Bauer Supreme 1000. Next season I'm completing my set and getting Sabres-coloured gear. Well it says Michigan but I'm calling it Sabres.

Iceberg graphics are the best in my opinion. So badass.

It's never too late honestly. Some of the guys on my hockey team had never laced up a pair of skates ever, and they are decent enough now.
